RX-100 is a phosphoric acid-based 3-in-1 rust removal chemical designed for cleaning and treating metal surfaces affected by light rust, grease and contamination. The formulation effectively removes rust and oil residues while preparing the surface for further coating or painting processes. It is water-soluble, easy to dilute and suitable for immersion or brush application in industrial metal treatment operations.

| Application | This chemical is used whenever parts contain light grease and light rust. This can be used by brush application of immersion. For extremely rusted parts light acid (Hydrochloric or Sulfuric) wash is suggested followed by water rinse before immersion in RX 100 Bath. |
| Bath Design | Tank make up 10mm thick. M.S. tank with rubber or F.R.P. lining. For small components PVC tank can be used as free grease floats on the surface. Generally tank design is made with large surface areas consideration. Lifting tackles are preferably used for handling material. A bottom outlet with get valve is provided 6” above the bottom outlet so that impurities do not disperse in the total solution. A water inlet is provided at the top. |

WATER RINSE PROCESS
- Removal of loosened oil & rust of chemical. In this process the cleaned components are immersed for a minute. Air agitation is preferred so that loosened oil & rust will be removed effectively.
TESTING & CONTROL
- Take 10ml. From bath solution & transfer into 100ml. Measuring cylinder, make 100ml. Solution by using 90ml. Fresh water.
- Take 10ml. From 100ml. Measuring cylinder and transfer into conical flask.
- Add 5 to 6 drops of methyl orange indicator & stir it.
- Titrated with 0.1N NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) solution till end point.
- The end point is the change of Red (Pink) to yellow color.
- This volume of 0.1N NaOH consumed denotes the point.
- Point of pure chemical is 32 to 34 ml.
- Concentrated of 33% bath solution gives 11 ml.
- For less every 1 Point add 30 liters of RX 100 in 1000 liters tank.
- Bath solution should be discarded fully after 5 to 6 months depending on the bath condition.
- Bath filter within a month.
HANDLING, STORAGE & CAUTION
- RX 100 is acid base chemical. Normal precautions during acid handling should be taken. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, wash with large quantity of fresh water. Do not swallow.
