Elephant Brand Insulating Varnish is an impregnating varnish based on exceptionally quick-drying synthetic resin. Suitable for the protection and electrical insulation of windings in the thermal F. Thanks to its excellent mechanical and dielectric properties, this varnish provides higher than normal performance for air drying varnishes. It has very good resistance to the abrasion, the external chemical agent (saline humidity, atmospheres, etc) and to the transformer oil.
FIELD OF APPLICATION
- By its characteristics Elephant varnish can be used in the construction and repair of electric motors, transformer and materials that must work under adverse conditions. Also it is used in the varnish of printed circuits.
SUGGESTED USES & APPLICATION
- Elephant varnish is applied using traditional methods. To seal all fibrous or hygroscopic materials in the winding against the absorption of moisture. To bond the hole winding, wires and insulation mechanically, in to a solid cohesive mass, so that it is made more resistant to shock, vibration and mechanical stress
- Elephant Varnish has four main method of applying for insulating purposes:
- Spraying for surface insulation
- Brushing for surface insulation
- Dipping (hot or cold)
- Vacuum impregnation
